All our children can enjoy fresh air activities in our three garden areas as well as on outings in the local community.
We have a large outdoor play space where the children can explore and take part in lots of physical activity. Playing outdoors allows children to develop self-confidence, independence and self-esteem. They also become aware of limits, boundaries and challenge in their play. When children are used to playing outdoors, they are more likely to: try new activities.
Our outdoor play gives children contact with the natural world and offers them experiences that are unique to outdoors, such as direct contact with the weather and the seasons.
We also have the mud kitchen and allotment where we like to get messy making mud pies. We also learn about and take part in planting and growing fruit, vegetables and sunflowers.
Our Ladybirds (under 2’s room) enjoy their own private section of the garden which is astro turfed for the younger ones that are crawling and non-mobile.
