In order to continue to maintain the highest quality Nursery education and care, incorporated with enjoyable learning experiences, we follow the Early Years Foundation (EYFS) Framework. This Framework sets the standard for the development, learning and care of children from birth to five years (until the end of the reception year.)
This Framework creates the Pillars of our Nursery, and we practice them on a daily basis.
Children develop at different rates, some learn language quicker, some grow faster. Every child can be a competent learner who is resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
This is why we focus on every development area. Your child is an individual, so it follows that we support their growth in a safe and secure environment.
We allocate a key person to work with a small number of children in our Nursery, they provide reassurance and safety for your child.
In this way children learn to be strong and independent, and their self-esteem grows after positive interactions with their Key person and Practitioners.
We provide a stimulating environment which supports every child’s learning and development. Safe indoor and outdoor spaces give children the confidence to explore and discover. We schedule planned experiences and activities that are challenging yet achievable.
Babies and children have unique needs, so we always create plans and routines to suit them. Our Practitioners observe children to understand their current interests, learning capacity and development.
Children’s play reflects their interests, some are happy digging in the sandpit, others love chatting to their peers, children learn the most when they are doing what they love.
Active learning requires other people, objects and ideas to keep them engaged. Children test ideas in different situations and measure different outcomes.
Children discover new connections and find more effective ways of doing things, our Staff support and guide this process, they consider a child’s ability by adopting a critical thinking process.
